The 48-year-old’s first year at the White House was the perfect opportunity for the First Lady to flex her sartorial muscles, as she has tackled the art of diplomatic dressing with ease.

Although the odds were certainly against her – many designers refused to dress her when Donald Trump was first elected as President of the United States – the former model has gone on to deliver some seriously covetable looks.

Whether she’s disembarking from Air Force One or playing host to some of the world’s biggest political players, Melania certainly knows how to grace the headlines.

From that power-shoulder Emilio Pucci coat to the totally bewildering super-sized hat she donned for Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron’s debut official state visit, these are her most talked about looks to date.
